MEMETARD: A MEME FOR THE POST-MEME AGE

A memetard is someone who repeats overused memes indiscriminately as a conversational crutch.

Examples of memes commonly abused by memetards:
  • "Arguing on the internet is like the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded."
  • Godwin's Law, godwin, etc.
  • "PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals"
  • "CAPS LOCK:  CRUISE CONTROL FOR . . . "
  •  image macros
  • "Cool story, bro"
  • "tl;dr"
  • "evar", "moar", "an hero", "teh internets", etc.
  • bacon
  • ninjas vs. pirates
  • fail
Please use this meme judiciously.

EDIT: First usage of the memetard meme within a memetic context.

  1. You should add the egregious overuse of the word "meme" to the memetard lexicon.

  2. I happen to know that you, gaelta, grew up at a when memetic phenomena was not as common due to the limited communication technology of that time so I can see why you don't understand the distinction between discussing a subject at length and memetics. I suggest you not partake in it as your usage of memes, given your misunderstanding of the phenomena, can at this point only be indiscriminate.
